Are We Overdue? And Are We Ready? Tales of the Next Recession
February 9, 2019 - Denver

Every week business journals, financial magazines, and newspapers speculate when the next recession will arrive, and what the impact will be on the global economy. What factors lead economists to predict a change in the economic outlook, and how can investors and consumers plan for the future? Also, what will the implications be for the U.S. national debt (currently passing $21.5 trillion) if a recession leads to calls for stimulus spending and deficit budgets to cushion short-term consequences? This class will have a lot of connections to HS Economics and Civics standards, as well as correlations to consumer spending decision-making (new PFL standards)for 6th and 7th grades. Come get the professional (and personal) information you need to be prepared!
