Interested in integrating all the social studies subjects into your instruction?
This one day workshop – Integrating the Social Studies Across World History – is designed to help you pull the core concepts and tools from history, geography, civics and economics that are emphasized in Colorado’s Social Studies Standards into your world history curriculum. Presentations from different social studies organizations (Colorado Geographic Alliance, Program for Teaching East Asia and CCEE) will help you integrate all the social studies disciplines into your instruction.
Grades: 7th Grade Teachers or secondary World History in general
Place|Time: Denver, 8:30 am - 4:30 pm
FEE: FREE ($25 refundable deposit due with registration)*
Optional Credit: ½ UCCS GEOG Graduate Credit Hour, $50.

**REGISTRATION GUIDELINES:** We try to identify the best fit for our open enrollment classes, usually by the kinds of resources and pedagogy included in the class. However, it is our STRONG belief that the content from any of these classes is valuable for the professional development of any teacher, will enhance the understanding of ALL teachers, and will inspire creative applications in individual classrooms. We encourage teachers of all grade levels to attend any of our classes. We hold 3 spots in every one-day open enrollment class for retired teachers and the general community.
