Join us for an enriching teacher training, 'Embracing AI in Social Studies Classrooms (through the Lens of Economics),' presented by our partners at the Foundation for Economic Education (FEE). In this comprehensive program, teachers will journey into the dynamic intersection of AI and economics, exploring essential concepts like creative destruction, the lump of labor fallacy, economic growth, specialization, and the pivotal roles of physical and human capital.

Led by master educators Joel Miller of FEE and Dr. Chris Cannon from the Georgia Council on Economic Education, this engaging session will equip educators with practical AI tools, innovative learning strategies, and inspire economic awareness using the story of AI’s mass adoption. Discover AI-powered instructional resources and methodologies designed to boost both teacher productivity and student proficiency.

Grades: Secondary Teacher Focus (ideal for teachers in grades 6-12, but all K-12 teachers are welcome)

Fee: $25 class fee
Continuing Education Credit: Certificate for 7.5 hours
Optional Credit: ½ UCCS ECON 6310 Graduate Credit Hour, $50.

Attendance Stipend: The Foundation for Economic Education will provide a $100 attendance stipend for all teachers who attend this workshop

We encourage teachers of all grade levels to attend any of our classes.

$50 Teacher Travel Stipends Are Available

Economic Literacy Colorado is offering a travel stipend for active teachers who attend in person and travel over 75 miles one way. One stipend per carpool please.
